World’s largest heavy lift-system gets even larger with Timberland’s help
In the early 2000’s, Timberland supplied a suite of drum winches, traction winches, and hydraulic power units to Kiewit Offshore that were integrated into the world’s largest land based heavy lift system capable of lifting over 11,300 tons.

1,290 m Mine Shaft Sinking Project “Down Under”
Timberland’s customer an Australian mining contractor, was selected to execute the sinking of the 4,232 ft (1290 m) deep shaft. Timberland is a proven global leader in hoisting equipment needed to sink shafts and was awarded the supply of four (4) new shaft sinking hoists by their client.

The testing system called for the design of two large horizontal side-by-side modules to be installed on the deck of a small barge to guide and support the chain for correct alignment on jack entry and exit.

On completion of the erection of this exclusive residential project in New York City, Able Rigging required a 35-ton stiffleg derrick and triple drum hoist package to dismantle the tower crane.

Bruce to Milton Transmission Line Reinforcement
Timberland’s equipment was used to construct 180 km in length of a new 500-kV double-circuit transmission line from the Bruce Power complex in Kincardine, Ontario to the Milton switching station just outside of Toronto.
